S/Y Odisea

The ODISEA is a 39 meter (127ft) classic wooden Gulet, outfitted for transoceanic exploration to the remotest corners of our planet. The expedition vessel serves as a platform for local scientists to access remote locations. The vessel is equipped with Nitrox diving capabilities and advanced scientific equipment.

1. Water Quality Sampler
The sampler monitors water quality in marine research, measuring temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and pH. Its durability and real-time data make it essential for tracking environmental changes in marine settings.
2. eDNA Sampler
A portable eDNA depth sampling device for efficient marine biodiversity monitoring, enabling rapid, accurate collection of environmental DNA at various ocean depths to assess ecosystem health and species presence.
3. Scuba Divers
Scuba divers play a crucial role in marine conservation by capturing vital underwater footage, documenting species, behaviors, and habitats, and raising awareness, driving efforts to protect marine ecosystems.
4. Bioacoustic Sensors
Full-spectrum acoustic logger used in marine research to record underwater sounds, capturing data on marine life and environmental conditions, aiding in the study and conservation of aquatic ecosystems.
5. Hydrophone
Portable underwater sound recording system for marine research and whale watching. It includes a hydrophone, digital recorder, waterproof speaker, and protective case, offering high-fidelity recordings of marine life.
6. eDNA Laboratory
A portable DNA/RNA sequencing laboratory offering real-time data, up to 48 Gb output, and unrestricted read lengths. It enables on-site sequencing for rapid, actionable insights in various research settings.
